Starting today (Sept. 15, 2011), Jonathan Greenblatt, will lead the White House Office of Social Innovation and Civic Participation. Greenblatt succeeds Sonal Shah, who left the office in August.
Previously, Greenblatt served as chief executive of Good Worldwide, a media company that runs Good magazine; co-founded Ethos Brand; and was a lecturer at the Anderson School of Management at the University of California at Los Angeles.
The White House Office of Social Innovation and Civic Participation works closely with the Social Innovation Fund, an initiative of the Corporation for National and Community Service intended to improve the lives of people in low-income communities.
